Merging Dreams and Design: The Architect’s Wedding
Tan Yi Hui & Nikita Wedding by Adi

As two people in the architecture field, both the bride and groom brought their passion for intricate design and thoughtful details into every aspect of their wedding. The bride had a clear vision for their special day, ensuring that every element—from the venue to her gown—aligned seamlessly. And it was clearly reflected on their wedding day, showcasing how meticulously and intricately every detail was thought out, just as they do in the design process for their architectural projects on a daily basis.

Drawing inspiration from the timeless elegance of Raffles Hotel Singapore’s design, they created a celebration that fit perfectly within its historical context.

The wedding embraced timeless elegance, nodding to old-world luxury while beautifully blending with the raw, natural beauty that honored the bride’s heritage as Indonesian. Traditional elements and cultural significance were thoughtfully incorporated into the ceremony, with an unpolished aesthetic adding an authentic, charming touch.

The classic green and white color palette featured custom napkins, bespoke plate chargers, and carefully curated botanicals that echoed the grandeur of a bygone era. A custom Escort Card Cabinet, designed by the bride herself and inspired by an old hotel room key rack, transported guests back to the 1920s.

The bride’s Zuhair Murad & Oscar de la Renta gowns were simple and light, yet imbued with unique charm. Her morning robe was embroidered with the words from 1 Corinthians 13:13: “And now these three remain: faith, hope, and love. But the greatest of these is love.” Every handmade detail reflected her admiration for craftsmanship.

Despite the rain that moved the holy matrimony indoors, the day remained a sophisticated celebration of love in a beautiful classic setting.

Love,
Adi
