Way Back in College
The Wedding of Edwin & Giovani by Ivan
May 2018

It was way back in college that Edwin & Gio met for the first time. They were introduced by a mutual friend when Edwin took his S2 degree in Jakarta. For Edwin & Gio, who have been dating for 2 years & 7 months until they got married almost 2 months ago, getting married is all about putting each other on top of priority. Above anyone else, above any interest. It’s about having someone whom you’re going to spend the rest of your life with, admitting how much you love and care about each other.

What do you like the most about each other? Is there a special moment that you will remember for always?

“I like it most when he is being honest with me about anything, even when it hurts. And I think I will always remember that moment when Edwin talked to my parents for the first time about wanting to be serious with and the future in front of us. That was the sweetest yet awkward situation at the same time.” Gio explains

“I like it most when she knows what she’s doing. She can tell me whether I’m doing something wrong or right and then give me genuine inputs. I think I will always remember the moment we talk to each other about our feelings and discussing our future plans.” said Edwin

When did you realize that you wanted to spend the rest of your lives with each other?

“When we’re facing a very big problem but then we manage to go through with it. At the moment, I knew we will always try our best to make us work. To build bridges of any differences. That was the time I realized I wouldn’t mind spending the rest of my life with him.” Gio explains

“My favorite part of the wedding was when we asked for blessings from both of our parents in Vihara and together we walked down the aisle up to the stage accompanied by families.” said Edwin

"I think my favorite part of the wedding would be when Edwin sang a song for me before we walked down the aisle in front of dearest friends and family. That was definitely a once-in-a-lifetime moment for both of us."
