It was the end of New Years Day and I was getting on a flight to Kuala Lumpur for my very first wedding to shoot in 2016!
Soren and Lavinne are one of those people that I’d love to get to know more. They’re cool and fun, yet elegant and calm at the same time. They look like they really know how to have a good time, like they’re young at heart, and yet, they seem to have this idea of love that carries more weight than most people do when they get married. It’s like they’ve seen life and they’ve been living it, and achieving more than most people have in their entire lifetime. When they say that with each other they are complete, it really felt like the truth. Successful and in love. It took a mere few hours to be in their presence for me to realize that they are the people I want to be when I grow up.
Soren and Lavinne were married in an intimate celebration, at a venue directly overlooking the Malaysian Twin Towers. They were surrounded by close friends and family. I particularly loved the blend of culture, especially during the toast. It was like watching Danish and Malaysian cheers collide! And their attention to details at the wedding? It was like not many I’ve seen.
Soren and Lavinne started this year with a bang, and by inviting me to be there, they made mine start off in the same way. Congrats again to Mr. & Mrs. Soren Ravn!
