Exotic Majesty of India
Eko & Veronika by David by David Soong

I ve got to say, this was one of the most memorable trips I ve had in a while. India is so full of surprises! When Eko and Veronika told me that they wanted Jaipur and Udaipur as their pre-wedding destination, I was made rather confused. Of all the places in the world, why did they want to choose this place? But after this trip, all that changed. I was totally captivated by the beauty and the rich history of the Rajasthan region in India, and that includes Jaipur and Udaipur. Would I go back there again? I say YES in a heartbeat! We arrived in Udaipur in the afternoon and were immediately greeted by the friendly driver from our hotel. We then boarded a charming little boat on the docks at the edge of a lake. It took us towards a floating vision of marble where a luminous palace emerged from the mist. We arrived at the Taj Lake Palace, a once-been a summer palace for the royal family, situated in front of an enchanting backdrop of the Aravalli Mountains and city palaces. I have visited many enchanting hotels in my travels, but this one has got to be the best I ve ever step foot in. The Taj Lake Palace really stood up for its name and I fell in love within seconds. The next day we headed to Jaipur where we visited Rambagh Palace, another captivating history. It was once the former residence of The Maharaja of Jaipur, but has been transformed recently into a luxurious Taj Palace hotel, preferred by celebrities around the globe. At least a hundred peacocks roamed around freely in the gardens, greeting us throughout the day with its majestic feathers. If you know peacocks, you know that they were just merely trying to win the attention of the peahens, but I couldn t care less I was too in awe of being in the middle of this fairytale palace. We took a short drive out of Jaipur where we visited the Albert Hall Museum, Hawa Mahal and the Amber Fort, all within a few kilometers apart. Sure, the places we visited were all awesome, some even more than others. But what made this trip even more memorable for me was to shoot for this beautiful couple. The love they share were reflected so elegantly in the midst of the majestic scenes and I could see through every click how much they adored each other. I know that India will stay in my memories for a while and I look forward to the next time we get to discover more of its magic. But for Eko and Veronika, I hope we ve created a new memory that will last for a lifetime, one that they can tell over and over again to their children and grandchildren. Love, David
