Show me your friends and I'll show you, your future. Show me your dog and I'll show you, who you are. Of course it's my own quote haha but I truly believe the dogs we choose often surprisingly reflect our personality.

I don’t get to shoot traditional Indonesian weddings very often, and so when I do, I jump at the chance immediately. I’m always so fascinated by the colors and symbolism that decorates each ritual within the ceremony. Traditional weddings are filled with the yellow of bananas, the beautiful white jasmines, the fragrant pink rose petals, and the greens of pandan leaves. I find the mixture of it all so charming.

Do you know why I'm always excited shooting weddings in Bali even if they are repetitively in the same venue?
Because of its wonderful spirits. Being in every corner of the wedding, I always feel the warmth of real friendship and family. It's full of laughter, joy, and smiles. Because the people who are present are only the closest people in the couple's life. People who really mean a lot to them. The atmosphere is far from the stiff and procedural ceremony.
Happy New Year 2013 from AXIOO video team! We hope that this year we will able to tell you more incredible love stories and precious moments through our lenses.
To kick off the year I want to share with all of you Glenn and Merry's pre-wedding story, which revolves around the theme of what love is. LOVE, I think is the biggest, most important word of all time. It is so influencial that from the beginning of time people have tried to define what love is. Nations rise and fall in the name of love, people would go to extreme length just to find love, some people say that love gives you wings! Love can be expressed in the most extravagant ways, but it can also be expressed in a single kiss, or even a simple touch.
No matter what your definition of love is, I hope that in 2013 we can all rekindle our believe in love. And may love take you to many adventures and precious moments, and may it give you the strength to overcome all the obstacles and challenges ahead!
So, cheers to having a great year in 2013! Cheers to believing in LOVE!

“It's the most wonderful time of the year
There'll be much mistletoeing
And hearts will be glowing
When love ones are near
It's the most wonderful time of the year”

Christmas season is a very special season! And it’s not because we get the chance to receive our annual bonuses. Nor is it because of the presents or the season for shopping or the chance to go on holiday.
It is not special because children get to meet and take photos with an oversized gentleman, who we all know as Santa Clause, sporting a red costume and a fake white beard.

Jefri and Cecile arrived at Tokyo in their thick winter coats and were greeted by the cold spring air.
After months of hassle and stressful wedding planning and the treasure-filled moments of the biggest day of their lives, they were finally on their honeymoon, a well-deserved first journey together as husband and wife.

It’s that time of the year again, and like every year before it, I am left baffled at how fast time flew us by. But as I stood in the midst of those happy faces you see in these pictures during our annual AXIOO Christmas Party, my heart was filled with gratefulness and warmth as I began to count my blessings. Each and every one of the AXIOO family, I’d count as a blessing on its own. They all worked hard to come up with fresh creative ideas, one client at a time, and made this year a great year for all of us.

One day, more than a decade ago, in a high school canteen, a beautiful girl caught Ricky’s eyes. He was sitting with his friends as she walked by. He followed her and asked for her name, but his effort was to no avail. A few years later, in college, he saw her again, the same girl who once drew his attractions to her in high school. He followed her again, and asked for her name again. But this time, she told him. Much to her surprise, they clicked and she grew fond of him. Their story began, and nine years later, they stood in front of the altar, exchanging their vows as husband and wife.
I love how we’d never know our other half until destiny brings us together, and how when that time comes, we are amazed at how things unravel. There are many beautiful love stories in this world and I’m grateful for every chance I get to bring these beautiful love stories into pictures as they embark on a new journey where more beautiful moments awaits.
Congratulations Ricky and Liza! Your wedding was just sensational! Personally, I especially loved the décor with the Moulin Rouge theme. (If you love it too, be sure to check out their pre-wedding portraits with the same theme, taken by David Soong.)
Cheers to your ever after,
Yosep
