You've seen Andry and Enzy in the photos that David posted a few days ago of their trip to Europe. While they were in Europe, they (they as in the couple and our dearest David) suddenly had a crazy idea to make a short story for their video clip. I really have to give my props to David for coming up with a cute story in such a short period of time, and hats off to both Andry and Enzy for being able to pull it off beautifully.

Here's something that the video team put together for their Pre-wedding Videoclip. Enjoy!

A few months ago we shot for Adrian & Siska pre-wedding session in Bangkok, a land of smiles, great food and shopping heaven. We love Bangkok. No matter what happened the last few weeks, with the riots and unrest, we believe Bangkok will spring back in no time (we've even booked tickets to go there again).

For Adrian & Siska, it really doesn't matter where they have their pre-wedding session. In a random conversation, we decided to have it in Bangkok. They are the type that's always cheerful, playful and so ready for the camera. Not wanting to be somebody else, they both actively came up with ideas and poses. Looking at their photos, you can't help but smile. When couples have this much fun, it's contagious and addictive for me to keep shooting. We actually did another session in Jakarta, which has to go on another post.

For those who gets to know Putra & Stephanie, you'll agree with me that they are so sweet to each other, almost like teenagers in love. We took on the idea "Boy meets girl" for their pre-wedding session, elaborating the idea around their dating moments. Looking back, their life is a series of simple moments together, from dates in the library, cooking together, walk in the park and much more that finally gets them to say "I do". And of course Shoco their tibetan dog wants to be in every shot.

Just when most Northern Europe was in air traffic chaos due to Iceland volcanic eruption, we were enjoying our time in Santorini. Located on the southern tip of Europe, we saw blue sky and none of that mess you see on TV. Well that's only part of the story, the other side of the story was we were pulling our hair rescheduling the remaining of our trip, switch to plan B instead. Wasn't the easiest to book new flights and hotel, but we're glad to have it all worked out (instead we even got to shoot in Rome, that's not in the original plan). There's a saying that goes, when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade. But for us, it seems like when life gives you lemons, we made more than just lemonade, we added some vodka and then party all night long.

Shooting for Andry & Enzy feels more like our honeymoon trip, a.k.a. Sweet Escape, instead of a pre-wedding shoot. It's sooo relaxing, like traveling with an old buddy, kept eating new food, ordering things we couldn't pronounce like Ouzo. Traveling light and flexible itinerary proved to be a good recipe for us to have fun whatever comes our way. So many stories of this trip for me to write, but instead of boring you with all the words, let the photos speak for itself. Enjoy :)

Oh yes by the way, if you're curious what the title says "σ 'αγαπώ", it means "I love you" in greek.

Woohaaa....it's been a while since my last blog. Been away for a while for trips to Sydney, Melbourne and then a sun tanning pre-wedding to Raja Ampat in Irian. Of which i'll get to post them soon :)

But for now here's Steven & Stefani portraits with a dash of romantic glamour and a twist of humor. I'm noticing a trend here, it used to be the girls who are more excited, knows exactly what they want for their pre-wedding photos, what to wear, where to shoot, how it will all turn out. Lately it's slowly changing...the guys want a piece of the action too. Especially Steven who loves photography, he's so into planning for this shoot, from what he'll be wearing and even checked out the locations first. Thumbs up to both of you.

So we invite all guys to jump in and have fun planning for your pre-wedding photos. You'll cherish your moments and even say 'That's my idea'.

So here's what happened... We were shooting this very playful and lovely couple Steven and Priska, had fun shooting the whole day. We knew there was a speech coming by Steven, what we didn't expect was how beautiful, romantic and honest it was. The speech basically summarizes the memorable journey that this couple had, and i truly believe the amazing journey ahead of them. During the speech we were all swept away to another place called Steven and Priska's world, and it was beautiful. We are truly honored to be a part of the moment.

After the speech, practically all the girls in Ballroom had melted that they had to be scraped off the carpet.. (just kidding).

We ended up editing the whole Trailer around that beautiful speech. But of course!

Did i say it often enough that we love Bali? Yes yes...we love Bali! Only an hour away from Jakarta, yet a world of a difference. As soon as you land, you get a feeling that you're on holiday. That's the magic of Bali. We have shot plenty of pre-weddings in Bali, and we'll do much more.

For Herman & Fenny, this is how they wanted it...capturing their goofy dates & funny moments. How often do you see a Vespa Sidecar? So we jumped with excitement once we saw it, gotta have it!! Love color too. When coming up with ideas for their pre-wedding shoot, both Herman & Fenny wanted something light, funny, colorful and yet romantic. So here's what we did :) Enjoy...

Here’s Alvin and Daisy's pre-wedding shoot. Got a surprise call one day from Kinsky that i'm about to do a shoot for Alvin, who apparently is David's buddy in Seattle. The challenge is to come up with ideas shooting a day in their home...so we came up with "Home Sweet Home" concept. What do couples do together at home? Fun day at the car wash, cooking together, play music even chilling at the roof top (of course gotta spice things up a little). I love this series. It's interesting when couple shoot their pre-wedding at their real hang out spots, their home....made these moments look so real. Enjoy :)

It's me Ivan again...now that i'm back from Japan, i get a chance to catch up with blogging my recent works. Japan is totally awesome, ok more about that later. For now, enjoy Priska & Steven's pre-wedding session in Jakarta

The first time i met Priska was in Sydney and then i met Steven in Bangkok, wow what a way to do client meetings. I remember when we met in Bangkok, Priska is worried bout her sunburn because of vespa sitter. I wonder why i'm so lucky to always shoot cute, expressive and energetic couples...it's like i'm a magnet for these guys ;) It’s always fun when couples enjoy the shooting session and dare to go all out for their portraits. I totally enjoy every moment of shooting them.
