Who doesn't love summer? It's my personal favorite season of the year where you can just go outside and eat ice cream while basking under the summer sun.

We count ourselves lucky to be surrounded by lovebirds, who are so crazy over each other. Over the years, we've shot quite a numbers of couples, and it's always been our pleasure to listen to their fascinating high-over-the-hill love story and a bitter-sweet twist of their romance. And despite of their differences, through trials and tears, they decided that he or she is one, they want to spend their life with.

Getting married is the most important decision in one’s life. It’s the decision that affects the rest of your life. Marriage can make life on earth heaven or hell. So for all the singles, please choose your partner very carefully, it’s okay to be picky ;)

Remember our teenage years, all the pillow talks, and gossips at the school’s cafeteria with the girls about the boys, our high school’s crushes. Close your eyes for a little while and back to yesteryears. Think of your love life. Isn’t it what makes life colorful? Think what makes you smile today …

This whole month of July, Axioo is displaying art work at Plaza Indonesia, with a theme: “Love colors your life”. It’s a colorful piece of love story, what LOVE does to people, the passions, the joy, laughter, the silly moments that make our heart beats faster, the one thing that make our life colorful.

Sidney has been a blessing to us for many years now, his songs echoes in our heart. This super talented song writer, singer, worship leader, youth pastor at Jakarta Praise Community Church, hubby to Etha and daddy of two of cutest kids on earth...is also a great friend. We're blessed to see his life so full of surprises, and constantly pushing a new limit of excellence. Here's a man who walks the talk and live his life to bless countless others. That day almost 6000 people came to Sidney's first solo concert. We noticed these people didn't come to watch a performance, but they came with a longing in their heart to soak in the worship atmoshphere. You really have to be there to experience it all. Song after song, there were surprises by other artists (guitarist, harpist, orchestra, rapper, etc) collaborating for this live recording. Apparently recording 'live' means total perfection for every song, zero tolerance for error. Thumbs up for the team that made this concert a success!

Happy Sunday everyone :) So thrilled to be back home. The past week has been one heck of an adventure. Stranded in Santorini, with flights cancellation to Paris due to the volcanic eruption, we ended up heading to Rome as well. Here's my first day exploring Santorini, before shooting for a pre-wedding in this gorgeous island.

Just a few years ago, we day-dreamed about trips like this. Can't believe that the time has come for us to jet around the world as we do what we love most. Truly blessed :)

Here's Axioo's housewarming party theme: Don't worry, be Hippie :) For this celebration of our new office, we invited our friends in the wedding industry to come and have a tripping party. Within a few days, we planned the party, send out the casual invites and get our game face on. Super grateful for all our friends who could make it to the party, though most of them are busy preparing for the Wedding Exhibition @ Ritz Carlton Pacific Place 16-18 April (that's this weekend)..you guys made the night so memorable!

Guests were greeted with a red VW Combi parked in the entrance, decorated with super size smiley face. Big thanks to Nefi Decor who spiced up the look of our new office, decorated with fresh flowers, even to our pool area *how i wish we can have it everyday.

Our team is delighted to present an interactive exhibition at the wildly popular eX Plaza Indonesia. This time, we ask the audience to participate and create their own photos at our booth. 

Based on the best selling book "Five Love Languges" by Dr. Gary Chapman, we realize each of us say "I Love You" differently. The dynamic of a relationship rely on how couples successfully communicate their love. In the age of Facebook, Twitter & Blackberry message, we somehow rely on our status and messages to get in touch with our loved ones. Yes saying "I Love You" on your Twitter might get him/her to notice, but that might not be their primary Love Language. To some people, action does speak louder than words. While to others spending quality time means a lot more than getting all sorts of gifts. So on this Valentine month, discover each others' love language and begin to communicate accordingly. Our annual Christmas dinner got a little bigger this time. More of those funny & lovely faces you normally find in Axioo. We got almost everyone in red for dinner and gift exchange. Baby Axioo does photoshoots of your pregnancy, babies, and family.

Most of you are familiar with my work and Ivan's. We've built up quite a bit of a portfolio on this site. But lately you've probably came across some posts by my very own little brother, Paulus.

Paulus has been with me doubling as a second photographer on quite a few assignments the past year. I'm especially proud of him, and believe he has the potential to be an even better photographer than I am. I'm also crediting that to his design background back in college. This dude has a great eye for details, angles and concepts. Albeit he's a bit on the quiet side (as some of you know, I create quite a ruckus during photoshoots), we've learnt never to underestimate him.

Paulus has now stepped up to be one of our lead photographers here in Axioo. A formidable one at that ;)

So what I'm presenting to you are some of his very own shots on assignments where he doubled up with me. Some of which you've probably seen on older posts, but here conveniently compiled for your viewing pleasure.

For those of you who are not aware, we have an exhibition going on down at Plaza Indonesia.

Summer Boulevard is the theme we've picked out. Displays ranging from different themes on each of the showcase partitions covering the entire block. We'll have these on display till sometime in October.

So what do wedding photographers shoot other than wedding? Everything else :) By nature photographers are explorers who can't sit still doing the same thing day in and day out...well at least that's for me and my chubby buddy Edward. What better combination than shooting a concert. Cool singers, musicians, roaring crowd, great lightings and intense pressure all makes up for these shots.

These images cannot equal to the songs and music they produced...not to mention the heartfelt lyrics that's written to bless countless. I'm sure the CD/DVD will be launched soon for all of us to enjoy, but for now...here's a sneak peek of the concert.

Happy Valentine's Day, everyone :)

When we think of Valentine’s Day, we often think of red roses, candy in heart shaped boxes, mushy valentines, and winged cherubs flying about shooting starry-eyed lovers with arrows.

 But I was curious who was the real Valentine, and why did he have a day named after him? So i did some research on it.

A lot of people have asked us why we don't show up often enough at wedding exhibitions.

That's because of the nature of these exhibitions.
Most vendors will always offer you good bargain prices and quick deals.
In a mega-exhibition, you're just another customer. Another face in the crowd.

These are contrary to what we really value at Axioo.

Last Week was a Father's Day. It is the time to really appreciate what Fathers have done and who they are ;) .....

David was in the States, shooting for our clients. And I missed him so badly ;p

...... I was inspired to make this home video clip for him .
So, here it is. This is our story ....

It's so true that inspiration usually comes during those moments.

This is it! We've finally have it up. Axioo's new site, now features our most updated works and our very own blog. Honestly we still liked our previous site, but we get bored so easily. This is fresh and it's how it should be. Check in often for more photos and interesting stories.
