Beauty Prep for Your Wedding

Through the hustle and bustle of planning your wedding, it may be hard to incorporate a beauty prep plan that works with your schedule. But it’s essential to start creating a beauty regimen early enough before your wedding to truly see the results. Here is an easy guide to include beauty in your list of things to do!

Take Care of Your Hair

Some people were blessed with beautiful hair that grows quickly and doesn’t get split ends, but for others this is just not the case. Give yourself more options of hairstyles by taking extra good care of your hair from the time of your engagement to the day of your wedding. Weekly DIY hair masks are wonderful for hydrating and repairing your hair. Put these in from root to tip to see your hair get healthier, thicker, and grow faster.

Skin Care Routine

Everyone knows that a good skin care routine is important for a clear complexion, but how do we fit this into our busy schedule to make it maintainable? Your skin care routine doesn’t need to include a long list of products. Oftentimes, the more simple your routine is, the better your skin takes to the products. Start with a cleanser that works for your skin type and follow with a toner. It’s always important to not use toners with alcohol in them as they can dry your skin out. Follow with your serums/creams so they can absorb the most into your skin. So products like a retinoid cream, vitamin C serums, or aloe vera should be placed next. Finish with a moisturizer and eye cream and you’re good to go!

Exfoliate and Moisturize Your Body

Taking care of your body is just as important as taking care of your face. There are so many benefits of using a body scrub! Exfoliate your body weekly– this is especially crucial in the winter months when our skin gets drier. This will also increase circulation, making your skin look extra glowy. You also should moisturize every day after your shower, and even twice a day if you’re feeling extra dry.

Get Regular Manicures and Pedicures

By getting regular manicures and pedicures for a few months leading up to your wedding, you’ll ensure you get rid of all existing calluses and broken skin. This is particularly great if you’re someone who bites their nails because it’ll keep you from doing this. Another great reason to consistently get manicures and pedicures is to give you time to relax and take your mind off of the wedding planning stress. This can be your designated “you” time each month.
