A Letter to Every Girl

Hey, everyone!

I’m not good with words. If you ask me, I’m better off telling my stories through pictures, Instastories, and Snapchat filters. Thank you very much. So, for those of you who know me, don’t laugh while reading! Okay, here I go.

There are two things I wish I learned earlier:

ONE: It is ok to be wrong.

One day I’m following a really cool trend, then one day I found myself enduring 4 years of law school just because it’s cool. Well, I like studying law, but I LOVE photography.

Looking back, I don’t regret anything. If I chose photography or design, I might not chase everything to learn photography because everything is already provided for me. I might not be where I am right now.

TWO: People say this so often that it lost its meaning. I’m going to say it anyway, stay with me. Here I go: be yourself even when you don’t feel like it. You’re more beautiful that way.

When taking beauty portraits, I like to be friends with the girl first so she’s comfortable to be herself in front of my camera. I’m wishing to capture who she really is (plus the little details) so when she looks at the pictures later, she would see how beautiful she really is and feels more confident.

I hope you learn something from the little stories I share!

Cheers,

Herna
