Can we find the perfect person for someone? One person, in the whole entire world, made specifically and perfectly for someone? One person, who is perfect, without a flaw? I dont think so. Even if I allow every romantic thoughts to override any logic I had left in my brain, I still wouldnt think so. I dont think that we can find a perfect someone. However, we can make a perfect someone.

You see, there is no such thing as the perfect person, for no one is without flaws or shortcomings. The perfect person does not exist, because in being perfect, it would imply that she/he would not make any mistakes, or disappoint, or fail to meet expectations and hurt us. That would be impossible. So, no there is no such thing as the perfect person.

But is there a perfect person for you? There can be, if you want her/him to be. All the things listed above as to what makes the perfect person can be achieved through acceptance. You can accept her/his shortcomings that disappoint you, you can turn a blind eye on the failed expectations that hurt you. Accept. Every flaw. Every shortcoming. Every mistakes. Every failure. That way, that person become perfect in your eyes.

No one is perfect. But she/he can be perfect for you.

I looked at Albert look at Sally and I think he gets this. Sally may not be perfect, but she is perfect for him. He looks at her with such an adoring look, as if he is the luckiest man to be given the opportunity to love this woman, and to be loved by her in return.

Thank you, Albert and Sally, for giving me the opportunity to be a witness to your big day. It was both a pleasure and an honor to be there.

Love,

Garry
