I often meet people who start off as clients but remain in my life as friends. Owen and Evelyn are one of those people. After our pre-wedding adventure in Dubai, we all came to be good friends. I was naturally excited to capture their wedding day. It was like watching a close relative get hitched. And I just couldn’t contain all the joy I felt for them that day.
After being at many weddings, witnessing them through my lenses, or attending them as guests, I could say without a doubt that intimate yet fun weddings are my favorite. Intimate doesn’t necessarily mean a small guest list, but it can also mean sharing it with the ones most precious to you. Owen and Evelyn’s was filled with rowdy groomsmen and bridesmaids who have known them for years, and the closeness they shared decorated the entire day. The bunch of good friends sharing in a celebration of love made the day even more beautiful.
I personally had a great time shooting for them. I got a chance to run into many old friends from the U.S, some I’ve kept in touch with and some I’m glad to be in touch with again. Even our own stylist, Nori, and client service rep, Erin, were there to liven up the party (extra points if you can spot us in the pictures!). The night ended with a lot of dancing, a lot of twirling, a lot of laughter, and a lot of hearts soaring higher than the heels that could ever hurt their feet. It was a great night!
Congratulations again to the happy couple!
Cheers,
Dre
