I’d like to think that laid-back weddings in intimate settings are where it’s at nowadays. There is just so much life to be experienced, so much details to be captured, within an environment that is not-so orchestrated. I’d like to think that it’s the emotions that are left to flow on its own, inspired by the love that surrounds them, that makes these celebrations of life so memorable.
Ardie and Febe’s laid-back Bali wedding is one of my favorites. I truly enjoyed the details in it – the Bride’s three colorful dresses, her cobalt blue shoes, their statement on love shouted to the world in big bold letters, the groom’s personal toy collectibles – it was all these little things that made their wedding “theirs”. I also liked the fact that one of the groomsmen missed his original flight and turned up a mere few hours before the wedding (I’m not sure if the bridal party agrees with me on liking this because he had them pretty worried) but he made up for the mishap by performing great covers of songs by The Beatles and Bruno Mars. It’s these kind of details that will be talked about for years, because it’s so natural, so not orchestrated, so life!
I truly had a great time being a part of their wedding reception. And the reception afterwards where Ardie’s parents celebrated their 28th Wedding Anniversary… A celebration of love followed by another celebration of love! Love was indeed all over the place that day!
Congratulations again, Ardie and Febe!
Cheers,
Dre
