Sometimes when I see couples holding hands, I wonder what their stories are. I wonder about how they met and how they finally decided to be together. I wonder about the challenges they had to overcome to be where they are today and if they had found the joy in the midst of the fights. I wonder if their love was ever tested by time or distance or even rejection from the people they love most and if that made their love stronger. I wonder what beautiful story lies behind their gentle touch and the strong grasp of their hands.
I believe that every couple has a beautiful story behind them. Some inspiring, some heartwarming, some more dramatic than others… but from every one of them, I have learned that each of them believe that they were made for each other. That’s just how it is when you’re in love. You think that you are made specifically for and born for your particular other. While love does make you believe in all things, this in most cases are indeed true. When you can’t figure out just why you are attracted to him (it’s usually the case with him than it is for her… guys usually know why they’re attracted!) or no matter how much you convince yourself that he is “not my type” (again, usually the case with him than her because guys generally don’t have a type!) and yet… everything feels so right every time you talk to him and you feel safer than you’ve ever been when he is around, he might just be the one made specifically for you.
That is in my opinion the most critical part of the beginning of any relationship. When you’ve decided that he is The One made for you, everything will be smooth sailing from then on. Distance will be conquered, time withstood, and rejections overcome. Your love will triumph over anything when you believe that you are meant to be. And that, my friends, is what a match made in heaven feels like. If you don’t believe me, ask Willy and Meilisa. These lovebirds are sure to agree with me!
