We meet a lot of interesting people doing what we do and all of them have touched our hearts in their own unique ways. Every so often, we meet a couple who enter our lives as clients and remain as friends. We chat often - if our schedule permits, over a cup of coffee or a casual meal and if it doesn’t, let’s just say we’re grateful for technology.
And while getting to know them better as friends, we find that we can never contain the excitement we feel when they tell us they are entering yet another new season in their lives as a couple. We’d jump for joy when we hear that their little family of two will soon become a family of three… or four… or five! It is such a delight to be invited to share their moments as they stroll through the new seasons in their lives.
This is how Baby Axioo got its start; from invitations after invitations from friends who wanted us to capture their journey, to freeze their moments and retell their story so that their today will never be forgotten. You could say that this is our way of growing old with them.
We’ve known Dan & Phoebe for a while now. We first met them for their pre-wedding portraits a few years ago and we saw them again as they were joined forever as one in holy matrimony. Seasons passed and we were delighted to hear they were expecting a little baby girl, and later we had the privilege to shoot their portraits as a family of three. We carried through the concept we had thought of for their pre-wedding portraits into their family portrait. It was fun to see the progression of their beings as a couple, how their love for each other deepened as the moments rolled by. And we took every joy in being a part of it, because that’s what friendship is all about – sharing moments and growing together.
Love,
David
