Whoever said that opposites attract must have been completely inspired by Sky and Fennie.

These two people are different in their own ways. Fennie is the sweet and quiet one. She loves the girly activities like listening to music and shopping and breaks at a nice, cozy café. While her husband-to-be, Sky is the outgoing one. He’s comical in a lot of his ways and likes to pick on her when she’s getting too serious. She loves coffee, he hates it. She’s a strong believer that the early bird does indeed catch the worm, while he knows that a good (and long) sleep is an essential ingredient to life. She reads newspapers, and he reads comics. She’s a Chelsea fan, and he’s all for the Red Devils. (Enough said.)

Sky and Fennie are different in a lot of their ways. But being with them for a whole day as I shot their pre-wedding portraits, I realize that they are more alike than they claimed themselves to be. They have a whole lot of fun together. They complete each other and they bring the sun around when the other is feeling cloudy and grey. Here is the lesson that I got from them: that compatibility is a choice. It’s a decision that a couple makes towards a bigger commitment. Despite their differences, love brings them together, and commitment joins them forever as one.

Sky and Fennie, here’s to the endless laughter and the never-ending smiles in your new lives together.

Cheers,
Ivan
