I’ve heard people say that when a couple looks alike, they are meant to be. I guess it must be true in the case of Hanssen and Mercy, because the first time we met, I honestly thought they were related.
Hanssen and Mercy began their love story quite some time ago in college. Mercy was a campus beauty, in fact one of the most beautiful girls in her year, and Hanssen was one who loved a challenge. He showered her with gifts and flowers and all the romantics that you can possibly think of until he finally won her over.
In their pre-wedding concept, we included some of the things they love to do together as a couple. Travelling to exotic places, picnics in the forests, and Hanssen’s photography hobby that loves to make Mercy not only the object of his affection, but also the object of his art. And what a beautiful art she makes.
For those of you who wonder what’s in that jar they’re holding together, that’s Mercy’s gift to Hanssen, a hundred origami stars to symbolize the hundreds of dreams that hold together. There are some couples who are so romantic, they can make even the toughest of dudes go “Awww…” and I think Hanssen and Mercy are one of them. They complement each other in their own ways, and it’s always a pleasure to shoot for a couple with such chemistry.
