My obession with Lomography started years ago. The spontaneous, shooting from the hip without much thinking makes snapping on Lomo camera so much fun. For me shooting it with the plastic camera is pure joy, a strange sense of freedom as the shutter clicks. There's something magical about shooting with film, a little mystery that goes into processing it and then finding out what the image looks like. I miss shooting film. Back in the days when I first picked up my camera, that's 1996 (now I feel old), it's the surprise that keeps me going. Years of shooting with film, patiently developing and camping in darkroom to produce the final print is what made me fell in love with photography. I'm guessing if I were to start with digital camera, photography would not have entertained me that long.
Thanks to Lomo for rekindling that love I have for shooting with film. For the last few years, I have always used Lomo during our travels (read: non work related trips), just for fun. Been collecting several Lomo cameras to bring for each trip. Here's a little snapshots taken using the new Lomo Spinner 360 + The Sprocket Rocket camera, on multiple occasions. Here's a shot of everyone during our Axioo outing trip to Bangkok, our brief visit to NYC, a garden party celebration for my wife's grandparents 60th Anniversary and that surprise trip to Osaka. Enjoy your sunday...here's to Lomo :)
