Not too long ago on a super sunny day in Bali, there weds Adenan & Angeline. Well for them, they actually met a long time ago, been in love and dated each other for years before finally tying the knot. I'm always curious what happens before they say 'I do', how's the complete story like, the good times, the bad, the funny days, the quarrels, the proposal and what leads to this wedding day. Looks like only they would know the full version. For most of us, we only get a sneak peek into a tiny slice of their life, their beginning of becoming husband & wife.
I knew everyone in Adenan's family. We sort of grew up together in Singapore then met again in Seattle. Years passed before we crossed each other's path again. So when he told me he's getting married, I immediately checked my schedule and look forward to it. As luck would have it, here I am in Bali again shooting for a small private wedding.
There's something about the bride on her wedding day. It's more than just the make up. There's something about brides that make them glow. Angeline's glow all day. Her radiant smile cools off the super sunny day. I know in the back of her mind she must be thinking of her vow, how the ceremony would unfold, but she kept it to herself. Instead of worrying she smiles, thinking of what lies ahead.
No one can ask for a better weather. Both the ceremony and reception dinner were held outdoors in the garden next to the beach. Friends from their school days were invited to join in the party. As the music played on, guests made themselves at home, some even cheers to a whole bottle of champagne (and they finished it). Looking how much fun they were having, I knew there must be an after party after this dinner under the stars. I was right. Everyone had a great time!!
